Question #3:

Do you think it was an advantage to experience three different cultures in your youth, or do you wish you had grown up in just one? Why?

Hanna Golan - About the Author

Answer #3:

I think that growing up in three distinctly different cultures is both an advantage and a disadvantage. In some cases it could lead to confusion, maladjustment, and a sense of not belonging. It could possibly or potentially contribute to identity crisis. On the positive side, it’s a true life-learning experience. Those who haven’t become hardened with disappointment and the pain of adjusting become flexible and resilient.

In hindsight, I do not regret having experienced the three cultures that I have. I am who I am due to and in spite of those experiences.
